Jibo was one of the first social robots for which NTT DATA Spain was creating an app that would multiply its range of uses, letting their owners make him even more useful and fun to be around.
Along with NTT DATA’s agency, B2B, we got incorporated in their design thinking team to define the functionalities, design, name and brand personality for the app itself, which had to belong to Jibo’s universe but not be totally confused with him.
We conducted a series of workshops at Jibo’s headquarters, in Boston at the time, in which we defined the robot personality and how it would evolve with the app. The aim was to help the design team find focus and tone while we anticipated strengths and weaknesses to be aware of and defined the grounds for the marketing and communication plan.
